Silanerangalil is a murder mystery shot in two different eras – the 60’s and present time, and there is a connection between the periods.

This project is a result of an inspiration that a group of young software engineers from the US with a passion for cinema had. The story of the project was conceived by one among them and their search for giving life to it led them to the well known Malayalam Director Jayaraj who has given hit movies like Johnny walker, Deshadanam, Kaliyattam, Saantham etc.

The director agreed to do the story and he choose Vincent Ashokan who has acted as a villain in movies like Pokkiri, Alwar, Aey and Murugaa, to do the lead role. Navya Nair was roped in to do the role of the visually impaired lead in the story. Vineeth and Raghuvaran has important roles in the film.

The songs are one of the highlights of the film. Veteran singer P.Susheela and yesteryear crooner T.M.S.’s son T.M.S. Paul Raj have rendered their voice for the tunes of Srikanth Deva. One of the songs with a Japanese tune, was shot in never seen locations in Bangkok Palace

The movie is in its final post- production stages and is expected to hit screens soon.
